Kanye West has pledged his allegiance to Manchester United – but the Old Trafford faithful aren’t quite sure what to think.
An image of the American rapper emerged on United’s official social media accounts on Thursday.
The image showed West wearing a club jacket with the initials ‘WK’ printed on, reports the Manchester Evening News.
United added the caption: “International breaks got us like…”
Fans were quick to respond to the post, questioning what relevance Kanye has to United, while some even wondered whether the image was photoshopped and Kanye had even worn the jacket at all.
Most fans implored the club to take the post down, but others had more inventive suggestions to what Kanye could contribute to United.
Despite a win against Newcastle before the international break, United have been underwhelming this season amid reported rifts between CEO Ed Woodward, manager Jose Mourinho and players such as Paul Pogba
Mourinho has struggled after failing to land any central defensive targets during the summer transfer window, while Pogba openly criticised his manager’s tactics after a home draw with Wolves .
