A cup of hot tea can work wonders for menstrual pain. Try drinking it twice a day—morning and night. Add ginger and/or honey if possible. The whole thing will soothe your tummy, making you more relaxed and comfortable.

2》Hot Towel/Water Bottle

Fill a water bottle with hot water. Then gently press it against your tummy (or lower back) until the pain reduces. Also, you can pour some hot water on a towel. Then press it against your tummy (or lower back). This softens the contracting muscles in your womb, easing your discomfort. Just remember to make sure the water isn’t very hot.

Surprised? Hang on! Simple exercises like walking and stretching are known to relieve menstrual pain. So try strolling around your compound/neighbourhood. Or stretching on the floor at home. You’ll be amazed at how much better you’ll feel.

4》Eat Right

Avoid sugary, fatty and salty foods. They can increase bloating, fatigue, breast tenderness and mood swings. Instead, try fresh fruits and vegetables. Bananas, for instance, will help relax your muscles and improve your mood. Watermelon provides nutrients that cure fatigue. Oranges are rich in calcium, which ease cramps and anxiety. One more thing: drink lots of water to keep your body properly hydrated.

5》Hot Bath

If you can, take a hot bucket bath. It’ll loosen up your joints and refresh you thoroughly. Likewise, the steam will open your pores, reviving you inside and out. Give it a shot whenever you like.
